Escape
one on one interactive performance via cell phone / 2020
Escape is a one on one interactive performance exploring themes of escapism, psychogeography, corporeality and the dissociation from the body that comes with an increase of online interaction. This work is an individualized experience taking place between midnight and 3am.
Participants sign up for a time-slot and are given a phone number. At their designated time, they text, ‘I want to escape’ to the number. This sets off a 30 minute one-on-one interaction via text message, phone call and an online video link.
